Thompson Elevator Inspection Service, Inc. was formed in 1975 to assist and provide code
inspections for approximately 150+ communities in the Chicagoland area and other areas
primarily in the state of Illinois.
The mission of the company is to provide safety inspections for elevator type equipment.
Examples are escalators, wheelchair lifts, freights, docklifts, dumbwaiters, material lifts
and special lifts. However, Thompson Elevator is not limited to just those pieces of equipment.
Our staff consists of 27 ASME Certified QEI Inspectors. For technical questions or urgent
matters, an inspector is only a cell phone call away. We are certified members of National
Association of Elevator Safety Authorities (NAESA). Suburban Building Officials Conference,
Northwest Building Officials and Code Administrators and Mt. Prospect Chamber of Commerce.
